Class List

We ask that you call or come to the shop to sign up for classes. Classes need at least 2 to fill. If a class is canceled, you will receive your money back. If you cancel, you must do so within 5 days of class. No exceptions. In order to keep fees low, we require you to purchase your supplies from The Yarn Basket

Sock Club Mondays (10 am to Noon)
Come join fellow sock knitters from beginner to advanced and make some socks. Kathy will be working the shop and loves to make socks and she can help you with your sock questions. So Sock it to her!!!

Saturday Morning Classes

Learn to Knit: June 12th (9 am to 11 am)
Come to class and learn how to cast on, knit, and cast off as you begin your scarf. Even my son Matt knows how to do this!

Fair Isle Basics: June 19th (9 am to 11 am)
Learn how to knit with two colors to form patterns. Bring 2 worsted weight scrap yarns for practice.

Saartje's Booties: June 26th (9 am to 11 am)
These are some of the cutest tiny booties on Ravelry! Quick to make and a great baby shower gift.

Fee: $20 + supplies



Tulip Sweater: July 3rd (9 am to 11 am)
Begin this fun, colorful sweater for either child or adult.

Fee: $20 + supplies



Top Down Mittens: July 9th & 10th (9 am to 11 am)
Make mittens using the magic loop method starting from the top and ending at the cuff. 2 sessions so we can show you how to do the thumb in class.

Fee: $25 + supplies

Yarn Basket and Quilt Shop Classes

Knitting and crocheting have become a passion for me, as well as a business. Please come join the Yarn Basket staff and myself at one of our shops. We want you to feel at home, where you can spend time learning new techniques, fixing old ones, or just sitting and visiting with us. We offer lots of wonderful yarns in all price points, great selection of needles, books and accessoriies as well as lots of encouragement.

Quilting Classes

    Quilters Gathering: 1st Monday of Every Month
    Dotty, Beth's mom, comes from Des Moines and shares a tip of the         month with all of us. Show and tell and social only. Come and bring a     friend!

Quilters

    Open Sewing UFO's: Saturdays in June
    We can seat up to 12 quilters as you finish your projects. No instructor     but Marie will be working the shop and can answer questions.

    Fee: $5 to reserve your spot

    Mystery Quilt Class: Saturday July 17th (9 am to 3:30 pm)
    Come join Robyn as she leads you through the "clues" and put                 together the top of a quilt. Lunch at your leisure. Come to the shop         prior to the class so we can cut your fabric for you. In order to keep         fees low we request you purchase your fabric from The Yarn Basket         and Quilt Shop.

    Fee: $25 + supplies

    Embroidery Class: July 24th (1 pm to 5 pm)
    Vicki from The Quilt Block will teach you how to use your Bernina             Embroidery machine. Bring your machine and sewing supplies.

    Fee: Free if you purchased your machine from The Quilt Block
    Or $100 if you purchased your machine elsewhere

The Yarn Basket Class Policies:

Cancellations must be received 24 hours in advance for a refund. A minimum of 3 students is required for most classes to take place –some classes may require a higher minimum, If the minimum for a class is not reached, we will cancel or reschedule the class and a full refund will be given.
